hi everyone....I finaly decided to create  a food and family blog. I hope
you enjoy this blog and get ideas and new recipes for your family. please let me know what you are think about it all your comments and suggestions  are always welcome....
lets start...
Today I am going to talk about milk toffees .....Usually sri lankans are making milk toffee using condensed milk .. even we are making coconut toffee and semolina toffee as well...actualy these are some kind of fudge or bars.my family loved these three type of toffees evenly.

                       what about combination  ?

I thought why I am not making combination of these three recipes. finaly I made it.

oh dear.it was a hit. little one ate four toffees in one go. He is not a sweet addicted kid.. but he loved this sooo much .just try it....

Ingredients :

1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups  semolina (roasted)
2 cups freshly grated coconut (roasted)
1 cup sugar
1/2 can water(use same milk can)
4 tbs butter
1 tsp vanilla
4 cardamom pods(crushed)
pinch of salt

Direction :

1.prepare your board or baking sheet with spreading some semolina.

2.mix sugar, water, salt, butter, crushed cardamom and condensed milk in heavy pan(nonstick pan works well) on medium heat. stir well and continue cooking. don't stop stirring.

3.when big bubbles are appearing add coconut and vanilla. mix well .at this point you an add some  food colouring to the mixture if you want.

4. then mix in semolina.

5.keep stirring till mixture begins to leave the sides of the pan.

6.transfer to the prepared  board and spread the mixture evenly.
7.after cool down little bit cut the 1 inch squares.
